Top 3 positions on Google or You Pay Nothing. Guaranteed.
|
How do you get to #1 on Google? To be honest, it is not difficult and doesn't cost a lot, but does take a bit
of time. The vast majority of the time is not doing the work, but rather learning the hundreds of little things that
go together to get you up to that top spot.
What difference does it make being top of the search results? Statistics show, the top results gets clicked on
by over 40% of the vistors. The second result, 12%. The third result, around 8%, and before you get down to #11, it is
less than 1% of the visitors who will click through. It is imperative to be in the top three, and preferably at #1.
Do I need to be high in the search engines? Only you can answer that. Is it going to get extra business for you
if new customers find you on the internet? Then, the answer must be yes. If, on the other hand, you are a local business,
who do not rely on traffic coming from your website, then the answer is probably no.

Assuming that you decide that you do need to be in a decent position on the search engines, then the next question is,
"Do I try to do it myself, or do I pay someone with more knowledge to do it?"
I suppose it all comes down to how much time you have on your hands, balanced against how much someone will charge to
get the job done for you, what guarantees they will give you and what the ongoing arrangement is. In our experience, we
have come across companies who charge a lot of money to get this job done. They may, or may not do the job right, but
then, regardless of the quality, they go off and leave you. Six months later, after a brilliant start, it all starts to
go downhill again.
There is one thing that is absolutely certain, getting your website search engine ready, is not a one time job. It is an
ongoing, always changing, never ending, regular maintenance challenge
